Fernando Carnauba is a Ph.D. student in Mathematics Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Before moving to New York, he worked in partnership with universities in Brazil to develop professional development programs for public school teachers. He taught in middle school for one year and still collaborates with the design and implementation of math camps for middle schoolers. Fernando holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Sao Paulo. He was also a visiting student researcher at the Stanford Graduate School of Education.
