Inara Bezerra is a master of education student in the Instructional Technology & Media program at Teachers College (TC), Columbia University. Her research interest is literacy for kids in age-grade distortion situation who lack foundational skills in reading and writing. She holds a Masters’s degree in Social History and a teacher’s degree in History from the University of Brasília. Working for a decade in the Brazilian Educational System, she assumed many roles, such as teaching History in private and public Middle Schools, Pedagogical Coordinator, education policy maker at Brasilia Department of Education, and assisting Brasilia’s Secretary of Education.
