Renato Russo

Renato Russo is a doctoral student in the Instructional Technology and Media program at Teachers College, Columbia University, advised by Dr. Paulo Blikstein. His research focuses on learning in technology-infused environments and student-centered maker education. Renato’s academic background includes a Master of Arts in Learning Design and Technology from Stanford University and a Master in Business Communication from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil. His work is marked by a commitment to exploring the intersections of technology, education, and media.

Currently, Renato is a Research Fellow at the Transformative Learning Technologies Lab, where he employs technology for both learning and research purposes. He has been involved in various projects, including the design and programming of an AI conversational agent to instruct on rhetorical features of disinformation. Additionally, Renato has served as a Teaching Assistant in several graduate-level courses, collaborating with instructors to enhance learning experiences for graduate students.
