Romaro Silva

Romaro is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Transformative Learning Technologies Lab (TLTL) at Teachers College Columbia University in New York. He is a math educator and researcher with focus on Ethnomathematics in quilombola communities in Amapá, Brazil. He holds a Master’s degree in Education from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro-UFRRJ and is a PhD candidate at the University of Minho in Portugal (Uminho PT). He is also a researcher at the international research group “Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Educação e Cultura – GEPEC) at the UFRRJ and the research group in Sciences and Mathematics of Vale do Jari do at IFAP.
