Charles Pimentel

Charles Pimentel is a Research Fellow at the Transformative Learning Technologies Lab, where he supports the documentation of the GoGo Board and contributes to the development of didactic sequences focused on Data Science.

Master in Informatics and Postgraduate in Informatics in Education from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), his work in K-12 education is dedicated to the inclusion of teaching Programming and Artificial Intelligence through Educational Robotics. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Computing at UFRJ, researching Critical Data Literacy, and is part of the group of educators FabLearn Fellows – Cohort 3.

Charles is also a Design and Tech teacher at Graded – The American School of São Paulo, where he develops tech-for-good projects with his classes, promoting the use of educational technologies in solutions for real problems related to accessibility and sustainability.

Since 2021, he has been working on testing and experimenting with the new version of the GoGo Board, contributing to improving its use in educational contexts.
