Charles is a Research Fellow at the Transformative Learning Technologies Lab, where he supports the documentation of the GoGo Board and explores how it can be used in Data Science education. He holds a master’s degree in Informatics and a postgraduate degree in Informatics in Education from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). His work in K-12 education focuses on integrating Programming and Artificial Intelligence through Educational Robotics. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Computing at UFRJ, where he researches Critical Data Literacy. Charles is also a Design and Technology teacher at Graded, The American School of São Paulo, where he develops tech-for-good projects with his classes and promotes the use of educational technologies to create solutions to real-world problems related to accessibility and sustainability. He was a member of Cohort 3 of the FabLearn Fellows program. Since 2021, he has been testing new versions of the GoGo Board and contributing to improving their use in educational contexts.
