CLIC (Computational Literacies Integrated into the Curriculum) is a TLTL initiative focused on integrating computing across different subject areas in K–12 education.
Grounded in the competencies outlined in Brazil’s National Common Core Curriculum for Computing (BNCC Computing) and in constructionist principles of learning, the project promotes the co-design of interdisciplinary tools and instructional sequences while supporting teachers in adapting and implementing these approaches in their classrooms.
The project prioritizes an interdisciplinary approach for two main reasons. First, computing can expand and reframe learning in other domains, from mathematics to the humanities. Second, we believe that integrating computing across different subject areas can contribute to a more feasible, meaningful, and sustainable implementation of the BNCC Computing standards.
